Christmas needs at least one new fab tune each year to keep the old ones on their toes. Last year I fell head over heels for South Ambulance’s wonderfully unseasonal ‘Hanging In A Tie’. This year it looks like San Fran’s Scissors For Lefty’s ‘Christmas Intentions’ is 2006’s most magical festive offering. The tune includes all those SFL’s idiosyncrasies as well as a pert little jangle pudding of noise. A couple of months ago I suggested ‘Ghetto Ways’ for a great Christmas party and now here’s a fully-fledged seasonal companion piece. The sets of sibling’s new album ‘Underhanded Romance’ is about to be released this side of the Atlantic so let this be the start of your life together. KD
