Boat Club - Always Away
More precious sounds from the capital of new music Gothenburg. Is there no end to the stream of indie pop consciousness from that place? It is really quite incredible and the quality is more often than not stellar. The latest dispatch is from a band called Boat Club who spirit between electronica and straightforward indie pulses. ‘Always Away’ is a pretty track from Andreas and Magnus’s new mini LP called ‘Caught The Breeze’ (a nod to Slowdive perhaps?). Remember how those chill out albums were so pervasive in the late nineties? Well if this had been around then it would have made a nice centrepiece, in fact it would have been ideal for the Beach OST. Ko Phi Phi has a new favourite. KD
