Air France - Collapsing At Your Doorstep
First we had the Fifa Records label, then along came Air France the band, what next - Vatican the venue? Joel Karlsson and Henrik Markstedt are from Gothenburg, are signed to Sincerely Yours and are the fuel that propels Air France. ‘Collapsing At Your Doorstep’ is probably too obtuse to become a dancefloor hit but my how its grooves make swivelling torso movements a distinct possibility. Imagine St. Etienne circa ‘So Tough’, especially those radical dance infested numbers towards the end of the album, and you get where Air France are headed. ‘Collapsing At Your Doorstep’ takes a few spins to seep in but its raw potential should ensure it is decorating your Saturday night stereo for the remaining days of summer.
