Desolation Wilderness - Come Over In Your Silver Car
Desolation Wilderness is a destination for backpackers to go and find themselves. In many ways given the bare yet enthralling noise of this Olympia band the region could now have its own branded soundtrack. For Desolation Wilderness don’t get caught up in padding out their music and in many ways theirs is a successful stateside take on the Clientele (with several parts Luna). This means that there are abundant languid melodies and hooks strewn around their album of late last year ‘White Strobe Lighting’. ‘Come Over In Your Silver Car’ may be as tranquil and lonely as the dawn but you can’t beat the reassurance that the long cold night is about to end.
