Been a while since we’ve discovered meaningful electronica but all that changed as soon as a double whammy of I and I mp3s arrived in our inbox. Adam Sarmiento is the whiz on the controls with a direct line to David Byrne’s vocal chords. ‘White Noise/Black Music’ is his 2nd and newest album and it has a pleasurable range of computer thrills. ‘The Bottom’ is nifty electronica, slightly deranged but still perfectly danceable to if you’re flexible. It actually starts out pretty linear but along the way manages to take lots of lopsided diversions. And thankfully none of them end up being a road to nowhere. KD
