The Ambience Affair - Mockery (contains free tix!)

You can’t beat a good mid-week gig. I mean for the price of one weekend in Stradbally you could pick up at least 23 shows featuring the best up and coming talent the world has to offer. Makes you think doesn’t it. This week’s pick of the bunch takes place upstairs in Whelan’s tomorrow night (Thurs, July 18) and features 3 starlets of the Irish scene. The Ambience Affair headline and will be backed by You Kiss By The Book and The Followers of Otis. You have probably guessed by now that we’re a bit partial to TAA, we even released their debut EP on indiecater such was our devotion to the cause. The very same EP has been redecorated of late with version 2 not only boasting fresh artwork but also a brand new track called ‘Mockery’. ‘Mockery’ takes up where ‘Fragile Things’ left off, it’s loose-limbed and fires off its message in that unique TAA canter. Tickets for the tomorrow's show cost €10 but we’ve got a pair of guest list spots for the first person to email us. KD
